Advocacy Tasmania is funded by both Federal and State
Governments to provide a statewide advocacy service
for:
- People with a disability (with a focus on assisting
people with employment or accommodation issues)
- People with an intellectual disability who live
at the Willow Court Centre in New Norfolk
- Older people living in nursing homes or receiving
Community Aged Care Packages or eligible to do
so
- People in receipt of or eligible to receive HACC
services
- People with a psychiatric disability, or mental
illness who are living at the Royal Derwent Hospital
during the period of the downsizing operation

RCR provides an advocacy person for any person in
Victoria who...
- lives in a nursing home or hostel;
- is being assessed by an Aged Care Assessment
Team;
- has applied for or receives:
- a Carer Allowance or
- a Community Aged Care Package;
- may have to move into a nursing home or hostel
if Home and Community Care Services cannot support
them in their own home.
